Best Ninja Creami Accessories Worth Buying

By Marty Cole Β· June 16, 2026

The Ninja Creami is one of those machines where the accessories are the difference between using it twice and using it every week. I have bought most of them, including a couple I regret, so here is the honest list of what is worth it and what is a gimmick.

Extra pints (buy these first)

This is the single best purchase. The Creami freezes one pint at a time, and a pint has to freeze about 24 hours before you spin it, so if you only own the pints that came in the box you are basically limited to one dessert a day. Grab a set of extra pints and you can keep three or four bases frozen and ready at all times. It turns the Creami from a weekend novelty into a "there is always ice cream" appliance. I break down exactly how many you need in the pints guide, but for most people three or four extras is the sweet spot.

Important: pints are model-specific. The newer Creami Swirl uses its own 2-in-1 pints that are not cross-compatible with older machines, so match the pints to your exact model.

Storage lids

The pints come with lids, but if you are batching you will want a few spares so a finished pint can go back in the freezer without drying out or picking up freezer smells. Cheap, and they save you wrapping things in plastic.

A real ice cream scoop

A Creami pint comes out firm, especially protein and low-sugar bases, and a flimsy scoop will bend on you. A solid metal scoop that can handle a firm pint is worth the ten dollars. It also just makes the whole thing feel less like a science experiment and more like dessert.

Sugar-free pudding mix and a good protein powder

Not an accessory exactly, but the two pantry items that most improve your results. A tablespoon of instant pudding mix is the classic trick for keeping protein pints scoopable instead of chalky, and the powder you choose matters more than any gadget. I went deep on which ones freeze well in the best protein powder guide.

What to skip

You do not need a fancy pint-holder caddy, novelty toppings dispensers, or most of the "Creami bundle" extras that get sold alongside the machine. Extra pints, a few lids, and a decent scoop cover 95 percent of what actually makes the machine better. Spend there, skip the rest.

Once you are set up, the chocolate protein and vanilla bean protein pints are the two I batch on repeat.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most useful Ninja Creami accessory?

Extra pints, by a mile. Because each pint has to freeze for about 24 hours before you spin it, owning only the box pints limits you to one dessert a day. Three or four extra pints let you keep bases frozen and ready so there is always something to spin.

Are Ninja Creami pints interchangeable between models?

Not always. The newer Ninja Creami Swirl uses its own 2-in-1 pints that are not cross-compatible with older Creami machines, so buy pints that match your exact model.

Do I need special toppings or bundles for the Creami?

No. Extra pints, a few spare storage lids, and a sturdy metal scoop cover almost everything. Most bundle extras and novelty accessories are skippable.
