My kid asked for cake on a random Tuesday with no birthday in sight, so I made this Birthday Cake Protein Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami and called it close enough. The almond extract is the secret here, it's what makes the cake batter protein actually taste like funfetti instead of sweet nothing. It spins up creamy and scoopable, not the sad frozen-powder situation you get blending it yourself. First spin always looks like a snow flurry, that's fine, splash of milk and re-spin. Top it with sprinkles and the kids will think you bought it.
