Classic Strawberry Sorbet

Made this Classic Strawberry Sorbet in the Ninja Creami on a brutal July afternoon and my kids treated it like I'd opened a snow cone stand in the kitchen. It comes out bright and tart, slushy-smooth, and tastes like actual strawberries instead of pink sugar syrup. The lemonade does double duty, adding sweetness and keeping it from freezing into a brick. Let the frozen pint sit a couple minutes before the first spin so the machine doesn't strain. If it's crumbly after one go, a splash of lemonade and a re-spin smooths it right out.

Tip: freeze the pint on a level shelf for a full 24 hours. If the first spin looks crumbly, add a splash of milk and run Re-spin.

Ingredients

  • Frozen Strawberries2 cup
  • Lemonade0.75 cup
  • Granulated Sugar2 tbsp

Directions

  1. 1Toss the frozen strawberries, lemonade, and sugar together so the fruit is coated and the sugar starts to dissolve.
  2. 2Transfer everything into a Creami pint, keeping the level under the max-fill line.
  3. 3Set the pint flat in the freezer and let it harden fully for about 24 hours.
  4. 4Lock the pint into the outer bowl and run the SORBET program.
  5. 5If the result looks powdery or crumbly, drizzle in a tablespoon of lemonade and run Re-spin.
  6. 6Scoop and serve right away while soft.
