Patio season opened the day I ran a Frozen Aperol Spritz through the Ninja Slushi instead of building it in a glass like a civilized person. Aperol, prosecco, and fresh orange juice come out slushy and smooth with that bittersweet orange flavor that makes the spritz the spritz. My wife said it tasted like Italy, then immediately asked when we were going to Italy. Adults only on this one. Pour the prosecco in gently and don't over-run the machine, because the bubbles fade fast and a quick spin keeps a little of that fizz instead of flattening it.

Ingredients

- Prosecco10 oz
- Fresh Orange Juice6 oz
- Simple Syrup4 oz
- Cold Water16 oz
- Orange Sliceoptional1 garnish
Makes ~50 oz · est. 4.8% ABV
Directions
- 1Combine the Aperol, prosecco, orange juice, simple syrup, and water in a pitcher.
- 2The syrup ensures enough sugar to set despite the bubbly wine.
- 3Pour the orange-red mixture into the Slushi vessel below the max line.
- 4Lock the lid and choose the SPIKED SLUSH preset.
- 5Let it freeze into a soft slush, about 36 minutes.
- 6Dispense and garnish with an orange slice.
