Easiest spiked slush I've ever made, and the Schilling Blue Raspberry Hard Lemonade Slush is literally one ingredient. Pour the can of Schilling hard lemonade into the Ninja Slushi, run it, walk away. It freezes into this electric-blue raspberry-lemonade slush that turned my tongue blue and made my buddy laugh like we were twelve again. Tastes like the blue freezer pops from the corner store, just boozy. Because it's already carbonated and sweetened, it freezes beautifully on its own, no tinkering needed. Lowest-effort crowd-pleaser in the rotation. Twenty-one and up, even though it tastes like childhood.

Makes ~24 oz
Directions
- 1Pre-chill the Schilling Hard Lemonade can in a refrigerator.
- 2Pour the contents of the can directly into the assembled Slushi container.
- 3Select the SPIKED SLUSH preset without adjusting the default temperature.
- 4Allow the machine to run for 40 minutes, then dispense immediately.
Tips
- Pour the Schilling Hard Lemonade Imperial Blue Raspberry at room temperature straight into the Slushi bowl without pre-chilling it, since the machine does the freezing work for you.
- Check the consistency after about 40 minutes by looking through the bowl, aim for a texture that's slushy but still pourable from the tap.
- If your slush seems too icy and granular, you likely ran it too long past the ideal point, so start checking at 35 minutes next time.
Variations
- Swap the blue raspberry for another Schilling Hard Lemonade flavor like strawberry or peach for a different taste while keeping the same easy pour-and-wait method.
- Add a splash of fresh lemon juice to the Schilling base before pouring to brighten the flavor, though this may slightly lengthen the churn time by a few minutes.
FAQ
- Can I use a different hard lemonade brand instead of Schilling?
- Yes, any hard lemonade at similar alcohol content will work, but Schilling is formulated well for this machine since it has the right sugar and alcohol balance to freeze properly.
- Why didn't my slush freeze even after 60 minutes?
- Check that your Slushi bowl was fully inserted and that the machine is running, since the churn and scrape action won't happen if the bowl isn't seated correctly. Also make sure the liquid level isn't too high, which can prevent proper freezing contact.
- Can I make it less boozy or less sweet?
- You can dilute the Schilling with a small amount of water before pouring, which will make it lighter but may also make it freeze faster, so watch the machine more carefully.
- How long can I store the slush after it's made?
- Once dispensed, drink it right away for the best texture, since it will melt as the ice crystals break down, usually within 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
