Spiked White Russian Slush

The Dude would approve of this Spiked White Russian Slush in the Ninja Slushi, and yes I said that out loud while making it (strictly adults). Margarita Man White Russian mix, vodka and Kahlua on SPIKED SLUSH turns the classic into a frozen creamy coffee dessert that goes down way too smooth. My friend Tony took one sip and abided. It comes out thick and frosty, like a boozy coffee shake. Tip: keep the vodka measured, too much booze and it won't freeze up right, you'll just have a cold drink instead of slush. Take it slow, the creaminess masks the strength.

Directions

  1. 1In a large pitcher, combine the White Russian mix, water, vodka, and Kahlua.
  2. 2Whisk thoroughly until the liquid is fully integrated and smooth.
  3. 3Pour the mixture directly into the Slushi machine's drum.
  4. 4Select SPIKED SLUSH and run the machine for 45 minutes.
  5. 5Prior to dispensing, pour one shot of cold-pressed espresso into the bottom of each serving glass.
  6. 6Dispense the frozen White Russian slush directly over the cold espresso shot and top with shaved dark chocolate.

Tips

  • Pour your liquid base directly into the Slushi bowl at room temperature, then let the machine churn for 20-60 minutes until you get that perfect slushy texture
  • Scoop and dispense every 10-15 minutes once it starts thickening to check consistency and enjoy it fresh
  • Keep your Slushi bowl in the freezer between uses so the machine works more efficiently when you pour your next batch

Variations

  • Swap Kahlua for Baileys Irish Cream to make a creamier White Russian slush
  • Use half the vodka and add coconut rum instead for a tropical twist on the classic
  • Replace water with cold club soda for extra fizz and a lighter drink

FAQ

Can I use less alcohol or no alcohol at all?
Yes, you can reduce the vodka and Kahlua amounts, but use water to keep your total liquid volume the same so the machine churns properly. Lower alcohol content will freeze faster.
Why didn't my slush freeze after 45 minutes?
Check that your Slushi bowl was frozen before you started, and make sure you're not pouring a base that's too warm. Also verify your ingredients are measured correctly, as too much alcohol can prevent proper freezing.
How long does the slush stay good once it's ready?
Enjoy it right away by dispensing into a glass, or it will start to separate if left sitting in the machine for more than 30 minutes. You can store any unused liquid base in the fridge for up to 2 days and run it again later.
Can I make this without Kahlua?
You can leave it out for a vanilla vodka slush, but you'll lose that coffee flavor that makes the drink special. If you want coffee notes, cold brew concentrate works as a substitute.
